Additional Information:
I worked with children from Horspath C of E Primary School (Oxfordshire) to produce this colourful and spirit lifting mural for their Arts Week.
The theme for Arts Week was ‘Nature’ and the children worked on a huge number of different creative projects throughout the school, including this mural. All of the work was exhibited at the end of the week for appreciative parents to look around.
Groups of children from every class worked with me in turn on the ‘Playtime’ project. All of the budding artists were very impressive and each contributed their own part to the finished piece.
As well as including the theme of ‘nature’, the mural was designed to celebrate the school’s newly built entrance area and its connection with the local St Giles Church. It was specially prepared, painted and finished to be completely weather proof. Which means it will hang outside of the school’s new entrance and be enjoyed by pupils, parents and teachers for years to come.
